Willa is the TWO TIME Emmy Award Winning Host of  WRAL’s Television Show, “Smart Start”, an Inspirational Speaker, Storyteller, Writer and Performing Artist.

Willa is the two time Emmy Award Winning Host of WRAL’s Television Show, Smart Start
Kids, she’s an inspirational speaker, storyteller, writer, poet and performing artist. She is a native of Tuskegee, Alabama and a graduate of Alabama State University and Indiana University. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Health and Physical Education.

Willa has entertained and delighted audiences across the United States and on the seas with standing ovations on cruise lines in the Caribbean. This busy artist has 6 delightful CD’s, 2 books and about 200 handmade quilts to her credit. Her music CD’s are Willa Will, Something Good, Stinky Johnson and Other Tales, Happy Health Habits, What You See and Midnight Quilter. Willa is the author of Golden Years – a collection of stories and poems dedicated to our senior citizens and her newest Book Pizza Tree tells the story of a young girl as she discovers possibilities.
